Megan Helf has been an assistant athletic trainer at Penn since August 2024.
 
Helf came to University City from Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics in nearby Moorestown, N.J. Her other experiences in the college realm include working with the Penn State football team for the 2022 season, the University of North Carolina (UNC) football team for the Tar Heels’ 2022 spring season, and the Lafayette College women’s basketball team during the 2021-22 season.
 
Helf attended Rutgers University, graduating in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and German. She then got her Master of Science in athletic training from Moravian University, graduating from that program in 2023.
 
Helf has been a member of the National and Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Associations (NATA/EATA) and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society (PATS) since 2021 and has certifications in Basic Life Support from the American Red Cross, Stop The Bleed, and Mental Health First Aid (adult). She was awarded a Rachel Oats EATA Scholarship in 2023 and was a 2022 recipient of the Chuck Kimmel Award (NATA) and Otho Davis Scholarship (PATS).
