Ryan Nelson begins his first season as Penn's offensive quality control coach in 2024.
Nelson starts his tenure in University City following four years of coaching at three different stops.
He spent the last two seasons as a program analyst for Wisconsin, where he worked with the safeties. Prior to his stint in Madison, Nelson worked a season as an offensive analyst at Northern Colorado, working with quarterbacks. He began his coaching staff working with his alma mater, Michigan, serving as a defensive student analyst with the linebackers.
A Northville, Mich. native, Nelson played at Michigan from 2017-2020 under Jim Harbaugh as a walk-on. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in business administration in 2021, earning a Master's in business analytics from Wisconsin in 2022.
