Josie Cook

Josie Cook was named Field Hockey's Director of Operations in July 2021.

"We are so thrilled to add Josie to our staff," Fink said. "We instantly connected when she visited campus. Partnering her graduate education program with her growth in the collegiate field hockey ranks will prove to be beneficial to her overall development. She will make an instant impact helping us with live coding, implementation of sports performance tools, as well as assisting with team travel organization. We are excited to welcome Josie to the Penn Field Hockey Family!"

Cook graduated cum laude from Colgate in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. A four-year defensive-minded player for the Raiders, she played in 56 games with 19 starts during her career. She was a three-year Patriot League honor roll recipient, as well as a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member. She also led the team's diversity, equity and inclusion initiative, was the president of the Colgate Christian Athletes Club, and was giving the Maroon Award in 2019 for exemplifying passion, contagious positivity and teamwork.

Since graduation, she has turned her view to the coaching side of field hockey. She was an assistant field hockey coach in 2021 for Hershey High School, helping lead the team to a deep run in the state tournament in Pennsylvania's most competitive division. She also was the head coach for the U10 Central Penn Field Hockey Club in Camp Hill, taking the role in November last year.

Cook is continuing her education at Penn this fall, working toward a master's degree in education policy.
