Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Penn Quakers swept the the Rider Broncos on Wednesday in their home opener.

Zada Sager led the offense with 10 kills and two blocks while Jenna Garner went for 9 kills. Emery Moore and Nathalie Tsai both tallied 17 assists while Addison Pollock led the defense with 13 digs.

Penn (6-1, 0-0 Ivy League) hit a season-best .376 for the match compared to .091 for Rider. Penn had 40 kills, 10.0 blocks, 38 digs and 10 aces while Rider had 28 kills, 4.0 blocks, 30 digs and one ace.

Anja Kelly led Rider (1-8, 0-0 Patriot League) with five kills and one dig.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Quakers caught a lead early going on a eight point run to start off the first set 9-3. From there, a series of attack errors from Rider, combined with kills from Zada Sanger, Adell Murray, Ellie Siskin, and Haley Kerstetter, the Quakers take the first set 25-18. 

SET 2 | Starting off strong with the first three points unanswered, the Quakers quickly take and maintain the lead throughout the second set. Rider will go on to score only 10 more points in the second set, Penn yet again coming out on top 25-13.

SET 3 | A series of blocks from Haley Kerstetter, Jenna Garner, and Skylar Greene help Penn create a lead early on in the third set. Followed by a combination of where Penn was thriving tonight with aces from Siskin, kills from Sanger, Kerstetter, Garner, and Murray; and blocks from Greene, the Quakers take the last set 25-11 to solidify the home opener victory.

» Ellie Siskin matched her season-best four aces, set last weekend against Lafayette.
