PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team returns to action this week with a pair of non-conference matches, welcoming Jefferson to Rhodes Field Wednesday evening before traveling to Queens, N.Y., Saturday night to take on St. John's.

Penn vs. Jefferson Series
*Wednesday's matchup will be the first meeting in program history between the Quakers and Rams.
*The contest marks just the fourth time in program history that Penn has faced a Division II opponent. The Quakers last played a team outside the Division I ranks in 1995, defeating West Chester, 3-1. The matchup marked the second straight year the programs met, with Penn winning two of the three meetings.
Penn vs. St. John's Series
*Saturday's matchup is the third all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Quakers looking for their first victory against the Red Storm.
*Most recently, Penn fell to St. John's, 2-1, at Rhodes Field in 2024. Despite the result, Hailey Adamsky scored the first goal of her career.
*The Red Storm also won the first meeting between the programs, earning a 1-0 victory in Queens in 2023.
Quaker Notemeal
*The Quakers return to Rhodes Field following their most successful week of the season. Penn recorded back-to-back victories for the first time this season, defeating Saint Joseph's, 4-0, Thursday before topping Towson, 1-0, Sunday to earn its first road win and first road goal of the season.
*Last week's victories produced a series of firsts for the Red and Blue. Freshman Camarin Choi scored the first goal of her career against Saint Joseph's, while freshman Ria Desai recorded her first career combined shutout alongside Megan Graves. Lily White also scored her first goal of the season against the Hawks, while Adamsky recorded her first point of the season with two assists. Magali Capdevila then scored her first goal of the season against Towson.
*Penn has featured a balanced attack this season, with six different players finding the back of the net. Casey Forman and Mia Fuss lead the team with two goals apiece, while Forman's five points are a team high.
*The Quakers' defense has been a strength throughout the season, with Penn allowing the second-lowest opponent scoring average in the Ivy League.
*Graves has been strong between the pipes, ranking second in the conference in goals-against average while allowing the second-fewest goals among Ivy League goalkeepers.
*Desai is one of three Ivy League freshmen to record a shutout this season, doing so as part of a combined effort with Graves against Saint Joseph's.
*Penn is unbeaten at Rhodes Field this season, going 2-0-1 while outscoring opponents, 7-1. The Quakers' season highs in goals, assists and shots on goal have all come at home.
*The Quakers have committed the second-fewest fouls in the Ivy League this season, with 57, trailing only Harvard (53).
*Forman leads the team with 599 minutes played, playing all 90 minutes in every match except the season opener.
Scouting the Rams
*Jefferson enters Thursday's matchup with a 1-0-2 through just three games. The Rams opened the season with a 2-2 draw against Saint Anslem before recording a 1-0 win over Southern New Hampshire.
*Most recently, Jefferson played Mercy to a scoreless draw.
*The Rams have controlled play against their opponents, holding advantages in shots, shots on goal, goals and corner kicks.
*Freshman Jalina Gonzalez and Jane DeVoll lead the way offensively as Jefferson's only goal scorers.
*Freshman Tessa Hughes is the only other Jefferson player with a point, recording an assist against Saint Anselm.
*The Rams have not scored since their season opener against Saint Anselm, with their goal against Southern New Hampshire credited as an own goal.
*Freshman Ava Brochon and junior Carly Hayman have split Jefferson's three starts in goal. Brochon has started twice, recording two shutouts while stopping all 10 shots she has faced. After posting a clean sheet against Southern New Hampshire, the Bensalem native was named the CACC Rookie of the Week.
Scouting the Red Storm
*Through seven matches, St. John's owns a 3-3-1 record, including a 2-1 mark at home.
*The Red Storm enter Saturday's contest following a 1-0 victory over Central Connecticut. St. John's dominated play, outshooting the Blue Devils, 17-4, while Leah Anand scored the game-winning goal in the 34th minute for the first goal of her career.
*St. John's has spread the wealth offensively, with the team's seven goals coming from seven different players.
*Four Red Storm players have recorded assists, with junior Snaefríður Eva Eiríksdóttir and sophomore Sia Bharadwaj leading the way with two apiece.
*The Johnnies have recorded shutouts in three of their last four matches, allowing just one goal during that stretch. St. John's is tied for third in the BIG EAST with three shutouts.
*The Red Storm have recorded multiple goals in just two matches this season, scoring twice against Towson and UMBC. The team's season highs in points, assists and shots also came against the Retrievers.
*Junior Nora Basile has been at the center of the St. John's attack, leading the team in points, shots and shots on goal while tying for the team lead in goals.
*The Red Storm own a 0.14 scoring margin, which ranks second-lowest in the Big East.
*Graduate student Kayla Bower has started all seven matches in goal, posting a 79% save percentage and three shutouts, one shy of her career high of four set last season.
