PHILADELPHIA - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced its All-American Scholars for the 2025-26 academic year, and the list features three University of Pennsylvania players: rising senior
Maggie Ni, rising junior
Claire Lu, and rising sophomore
Adrienne Ahn-Upton.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and include a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. A total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers across 403 NCAA and NAIA programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.
Ni competed in seven of Penn's eight events and finished with a 76.2 stroke average over 19 tournament rounds. That stretch included a low-round, 2-under-par 70 at Delaware's Lady Blue Hen Invitational and a 1-under-par 71 at the Space Coast Classic. She was Penn's low scorer at Delaware and ranked fifth among Quakers at the Ivy Championship, shooting 26-over-par 242.
Lu played in all eight tournaments throughout the year, shooting a 76.5 stroke average across 22 tourney rounds. Her low round of the campaign was a par 72 as an individual at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational and she placed third (77-74—151, +7) at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay. Lu finished fourth among her teammates at the Ivy Championship, logging a 19-over-par 235 finish.
As a freshman, Ahn-Upton played in seven tournaments, ending the year with a 75.6 stroke average across 18 tournament rounds. She finished tied for third at the Lehigh Invitational (75-73—148, +4) and shot a low-round 1-under-par 71 at the Nittany Lion Invitational to begin the season. Her 17-over-par 233 finish at the Ivy Championship ranked third among the Quakers.
The Penn women put together another solid year in 2025-26, capturing the program's 21st tournament title with a first-place finish (310-296—606, +30) at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay. The Red and Blue never finished lower than eighth in any of their events.
