PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team will tee it up at the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship this weekend. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place Friday through Sunday on the Lower Course at the famed Baltusrol Golf Club, the six teams in the field playing 18 holes each day.
For the second straight year, The Championship is a six-play, four-score event, which means each team will have six players in its lineup with the low four scores each day counting toward the team score.
Penn is looking to win the team title for the third time; the first two championships came in 2010 and 2023. Two women who played for the Quakers in the 2023 Championship are still on the roster: seniors
Julie Shin and
Bridget O'Keefe. Both earned All-Ivy honors that year, O'Keefe getting first-team recognition for her third-place finish while Shin (t-10th) was a second-team honoree. Shin also was an All-Championship Team member last year—tying for fifth and shattering the program record for score at The Championship—while junior
Maggie Ni was a second-team All-Ivy pick in 2024, after she tied for seventh.
