#25 WLAX Rounds Out Regular Season Road Action at Cornell on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team closes out regular season road action on Saturday, April 18, heading to Cornell for a noon outing.

The Penn vs. Cornell Series
*Penn owns the all-time advantage in the series between these programs, leading 34-18 overall.
 
*The Quakers carry a three-game win streak into Saturday's contest, most recently topping the Big Red 18-10 at Franklin Field last year. Midfielder Anna Brandt tied the program record for most goals in a game, netting a career-high nine goals in the win.
 
*Cornell's last win the series came from the 2019 season, when the Big Red came out on top 13-9 in Ithaca.

*Penn split a pair of top-25 road battles last week, leaving #21 Princeton with a 10-9 double-overtime victory on Wednesday before dropping a tight, 7-4 defensive fight at #5 Yale on Saturday.
 
*Lela Greene lifted the Quakers to victory past the Tigers at Old Nassau, netting the game-winning goal in the second overtime to secure Penn's second ranked win of the season.
 
*Patricia Columbia-Walsh continued to be an offensive force in the pair of games, tallying seven points in the week including five in the win at Princeton (4g/1a).
 
*Orly Sedransk posted back-to-back double-digit save performances, stopping ten Tigers shots and 11 Saturday at Yale.

*Maggie Bankowski has been dominant in the X for the Quakers through 11 games, leading the team with 58 draw controls.
 
Scouting the Big Red
*The Big Red shifted to 3-2 in conference action this past weekend, topping Harvard 13-11 in Cambridge.
 
*Ellie Bergin leads Cornell's offense in goals (30) and points (33). Ella Wilmot leads the squad with a team-high 21 assists.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Mackenzie Clark in the cage on Saturday. The keeper holds an 8.13 goals-against average, a .470 save percentage, and 86 saves on the season.
