Football's 18th Annual Get in the Game Bone Marrow Drive Set for Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania football team is looking forward to hosting the program's 18th annual Get In The Game Bone Marrow Drive on Tuesday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The drive will take place in three locations—outside of the Weiss Pavilion, Class of 1959 Plaza on Locust Walk and Pottruck Fitness Center—on Penn's campus.

The 'Get In The Game, Save A Life' campaign was started by longtime Villanova football head coach Andy Talley in 2008 through NMDP (previously Be The Match) and The Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation.

In the previous 17 seasons of the initiative, the Quakers had more than 3,316 registrants and 24 donors including former Penn football student-athletes Sam Philippi and Anthony Lotti.

The Penn Football program, guided by George A. Munger Head Coach Rick Santos, has contributed to the success of the project started by Talley greatly over the years and only continues to do so in the years following.
