How It Happened
As they have for much of the year, the Quakers struck early in this one, scoring in the top of the first with an RBI double from
Jade Montgomery.
Rider was prepared for the challenge and matched Penn's tally plus one, bringing in two runs with a single from Abby Cruz and a double from Kendall Reda-Fehsal. Rider than doubled that score up with a 2-RBI single in the bottom of the second to build a three-run lead via Aspen Wheeler.
Penn made a good effort to come back, bringing one across the dish with a sacrifice fly. That would be the end of the scoring for Penn while the Broncs would go on to bring three more home to make the score 7-2.
Up Next
Penn will look to bounce back when they take on the Yale Bulldogs this weekend in the final home series until the end of the month.
