#25 WLAX Opens Ivy Play at Dartmouth on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team hits the road for the first time in 2026 this weekend, heading to Dartmouth on Saturday, March 7, for a noon matchup.

The Penn vs. Dartmouth Series
*The all-time series between these two programs is neck and neck, with Penn leading 25-24.
 
*The Quakers own the last five wins, topping the Big Green 17-7 at Franklin Field last season. Eden Welch had a career day in the meeting, netting a team and career-high four goals. Erika Chung dished out a team-high four goals in the victory.
 
*Penn is 9-12 all-time on the road in the series.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*The Red and Blue closed out their season-opening homestretch this past week, dropping contests to Temple (14-9) and #13 Loyola Maryland (10-8).
 
*Junior Catherine Berkery led the Quaker offense, tallying seven points between the two games, including a hat trick in each.
 
*On the defensive end of the field, freshman Mary Sack caused four turnovers and scooped up five ground balls in the pair of contests.
 
*Goalkeeper Orly Sedransk stopped 14 goals on the weekend, led by an eight-save outing against the Greyhounds. 
 
*Attacker Berkery has been an offensive force through three games, leading Penn with 13 goals and 15 points.
 
*Keeper Sedransk has been solid in the cage to open the year, stopping 27 shots on the year.
 
*Penn was picked to finish second in the Ivy League in the 2026 preseason poll voted on by the media.
 
*Half of last year's starting lineup will return to the field this season with attacker Berkery, midfielder Lellie King, defenders Maggie BankowskiClare Ruff, and Natasha Yajadda, and goalkeeper Sedransk returning to Franklin Field.
 
*Sophomore Sedransk is pegged to have a strong second year earning Third Team USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Third Team Preseason All-American as well as a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
 
*Junior  Bankowski has been a force in the X for the Red and Blue, winning 27 draw controls on the year.
 
Scouting the Big Green
*Dartmouth carries a five-game win streak into Saturday's conference clash, opening Ivy action with a 17-10 win over Harvard last weekend.
 
*Madeline Egan leads the Big Green's offense in goals (14) and points (13) through five games. Charlotte Myers has dished out a team-high 20 goals so far this season.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Ruby Lucken in the cage on Saturday. The keeper holds a 6.06 goals-against average, a .513 save percentage, and 20 saves on the season.
