Power Named Finalist For CollegeInsider.com's Riley Wallace Award

PHILADELPHIA – CollegeInsider.com has named its 30 finalists for the Riley Wallace Award, and the list includes University of Pennsylvania junior forward TJ Power.

The Riley Wallace Award is presented annually to the most impactful transfer in Division I college basketball and is named in honor of the longtime Hawaii coach. During his coaching career at Hawaii, Riley Wallace welcomed many transfers into the program and became the winningest coach in program history. Wallace guided Hawaii to nine postseason appearances, including a school-record streak of four straight from 2001-04.

Power finished the regular season second on the team in overall scoring (15.8 ppg) and tops in rebounding (7.5 rpg), and led the Quakers in both categories in Ivy League games (16.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg). Power led Penn with 23 double-figure scoring games (including 12 of 14 Ivy contests) and posted the fifth-highest scoring game in program history when he dropped 38 points against Dartmouth on February 27. Earlier this week, Power became the program's first unanimous first-team All-Ivy choice since Jordan Dingle in 2022-23.

Penn (16-11, 9-5 Ivy League) heads to Ithaca, N.Y. for Ivy Madness this weekend; the second-seeded Quakers will take on third-seeded Harvard on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a semifinal that will air on ESPNews. The winner of that game will take on the winner of top-seeded Yale and fourth-seeded Cornell in the ILT final on Sunday at noon on ESPN2. The winner of that game will get the Ivy League's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
