Power, Roberts Earn All-Ivy in Men's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League has announced its All-Ivy teams and postseason honors for the 2025-26 men's basketball season, and the University of Pennsylvania was well-represented as junior forward TJ Power was a unanimous choice for first-team All-Ivy and senior Ethan Roberts was voted second-team All-Ivy by the conference coaches.

Power finished the regular season second on the team in overall scoring (15.8 ppg) and tops in rebounding (7.5 rpg), and led the Quakers in both categories in Ivy League games (16.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg). Among Ivy players in league games, he led the way in three-point FG percentage (.477), was second in 3FG made per game (2.9), and finished fourth in rebounding, seventh in scoring, and tenth in steals per game. Power led Penn with 23 double-figure scoring games (including 12 of 14 Ivy contests) and posted the fifth-highest scoring game in program history when he dropped 38 points against Dartmouth on February 27. Power is the program's first unanimous first-team All-Ivy choice since Jordan Dingle in 2022-23.

Roberts led Penn and was fourth among Ivy League players in overall scoring this season, averaging 16.9 points per game. Despite missing four games due to injury, the senior led Penn with eight games of 20 or more points—including 31 vs. Saint Joseph's and 30 against Drexel in the Quakers' Big 5 pod games—and hit double digits in the scoring column in 19 of his 23 appearances. A transfer who was the Patriot League Rookie of the Year at Army in 2022-23, Roberts has scored 808 points in two seasons at Penn and 1,217 for his collegiate career.

Yale senior Nick Townsend was voted Player of the Year by the coaches, while his teammate Casey Simmons was named Defensive Player of the Year. Columbia's Connor Igoe was voted Ivy League Rookie of the Year. The Yale and Harvard coaching staffs shared the Coaching Staff of the Year honor.

Penn (16-11, 9-5 Ivy League) heads to Ithaca, N.Y. for Ivy Madness this weekend; the second-seeded Quakers will take on third-seeded Harvard on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a semifinal that will air on ESPNews. The winner of that game will take on the winner of top-seeded Yale and fourth-seeded Cornell in the ILT final on Sunday at noon on ESPN2. The winner of that game will get the Ivy League's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
