The Penn vs. Johns Hopkins Series
*The Red and Blue hold a slight advantage in the all-time series, leading 10-8.

*The Quakers opened the 2026 season at Franklin Field on Saturday, edging out Drexel 11-10 to win the Battle of 33rd Street. With the game even at ten and less than three minutes left of the fourth period, sophomore
Lela Greene scored the go-ahead goal to push Penn to its first win of the season and hand Drexel its first loss.

Olivia Nicoll, and
Regan O'Brien netted two goals each to account for the multi-goal scorers in the win.

Patricia Columbia-Walsh, midfielder Greene,
Emma Hrzich,
Mary Sack, and
Kate Stanton hit the back of the net to even out Penn's scorers.
*Hrzich, Nicoll, Sack, and Stanton's goals were the first of their collegiate careers.
*Goalkeeper Sedransk was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, after stopping eight of 18 shots faced in the clash with the Dragons.
*Penn was picked to finish second in the Ivy League in the 2026 preseason poll voted on by the media.

*Sophomore Sedransk is pegged to have a strong second year earning Third Team USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Third Team Preseason All-American as well as a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
*Sedransk had a after a stellar freshman season in 2025, earning Ivy League Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year, along with USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American and IWLCA Third Team All-American. She posted an 11-7 overall and a 5-2 Ivy League record this year, saving 180 of 519 shots faced, holding a 9.99 goals-against-average and a .490 save percentage. The keeper saved a career-high 14 shots three times in 2025 against #5 Princeton and Towson in the regular season and #21 Army in the NCAA first round.

Peyton Phillips, and Sack will join the returning players for Penn for the 2026 season. The Class of 2029 is made up of five midfielders, two attackers, a defender, and one goalkeeper.
*Midfielder Sack is looking to make an instant impact for Penn, being named to the Inside Lacrosse Women Power 100 Freshman Ranking heading into the season.
*Junior Berkery, senior Columbia-Walsh, junior Ruff, and senior Yajadda were named team captains for the 2026 season.
*2025 program alum, midfielder Brandt, was named to the 2026 U.S. Women's World Lacrosse Championship roster.
Scouting the Blue Jays
*Johns Hopkins carries a three-game win streak into Philly this weekend, topping Liberty (17-7), #19 Loyola Maryland (14-8), and #14 Duke (14-13, 2OT) to start the 2026 season.
*Ava Angello leads JHU's offense in goals (13) and points (16) through the trio of games. Taylor Hoss has dished out a team-high six goals so far on the season.
*The Quakers will likely face Ashley Langdon in the cage on Saturday. The keeper holds an 8.34 goals-against average, a .375 save percentage, and 15 saves on the young season.
