PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team closed out dual action on Thursday night in the Palestra, outlasting Rider 22-18.
 
With the meet sitting at 19-18 heading into the final bout, heavyweight John Pardo secured the 22-18 win for Penn, snapping Rider's three-meet streak.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Evan Mougalian (133), CJ Composto (141), Jude Swisher (157), Sean Seefeldt (165), Liam Carlin (184), and sophomore Pardo (285) won their matches to account for the Quakers' 22 points in the win.
 
*#9 Composto took the sole top-15 matchup in the meet, topping #14 Eli Griffin, 8-5.
 
*Penn celebrated the Class of 2026 before Thursday's meet, honoring Evan Bennett, Composto, Matthew Cruise, Kelly Dunnigan, Hunter Gandy, Kyle Hauserman, Brady Pruett, Adam Thomson, Andy Troczynski, and Lance Urbas.
 
*The meet marked the last of Head Coach Emeritus, Roger Reina's career as a coach at Penn.
 
*The Quakers finish the dual slate of the 2025-26 campaign with a 7-4 overall record and 2-3 Ivy League record.
 
*Senior Dunnigan made his dual debut of the season, taking on #33 Dylan Layton.
 
*Junior Swisher ends the dual season on a three-win streak, topping Gianna Maldonado by tech fall, 18-3.
