PHILADELPHIA – With the 2026 season now underway, the Ivy League released its first weekly awards of the season on Monday afternoon, with
Orly Sedransk of the nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team earning Defensive Player of the Week.
Goalkeeper Sedransk helped secure Penn's season-opening 11-10 win over Drexel this past Saturday. The sophomore stopped eight of 18 shots faced in her season debut, scooping up a pair of ground balls in the process.
Sedransk and the rest of the Quakers continue their season-opening homestand on Saturday, Feb. 21, hosting #7 Johns Hopkins for a 3:30 p.m. matchup at Franklin Field.
