PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania sprint football team returns to Franklin Field on Friday night, looking to get back in the win column when it welcomes Molloy University for a CSFL South matchup.
The game is set for 7 p.m. at Franklin Field and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Penn vs. Molloy Series
*Penn leads the all-time series 2-0 against Molloy.
*The Quakers have outscored the Lions 63-0 in the two meetings between the programs.
*Penn defeated Molloy, 14-0, in last year's meeting in Uniondale, N.Y.
*The Quakers also posted a 49-0 victory over Molloy in 2024.
Quaker Notemeal
*Penn enters Friday's contest at 1-2 overall and 0-1 in CSFL South play following last week's 24-0 setback against Army at Franklin Field.
*The Quakers opened the season with a 27-6 loss at Navy before earning their first victory of the season, a 34-26 triumph at St. Thomas Aquinas on Sept. 25.
*Freshman running back Dante Coury continues to pace the Penn offense. Through three games, Coury has rushed 61 times for 285 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
*Coury turned in one of the top individual performances in the CSFL this season against St. Thomas Aquinas, rushing for 182 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries.
*Freshman quarterback John Franchini has completed 27-of-53 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns through three games. He has also rushed for 33 yards.
*Andy Falletta leads Penn with 80 receiving yards, while Jason Sheairs has four catches for 64 yards and a touchdown.
*Defensively, Hugh Maley and Paul Tjoumakaris lead the Quakers with 21 tackles apiece through three games. Tjoumakaris has added 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks, while Jack Kim has 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
*Penn's defense has recorded 10 sacks through three games, with Tjoumakaris and Kim combining for four.
Army Recap
*Penn fell to Army, 24-0, last Friday night in its home opener at Franklin Field.
*The Quakers held the Black Knights scoreless in the second quarter and recorded two sacks, but Army controlled the game on the ground, finishing with 238 rushing yards on 55 attempts.
*Freshman Dante Coury led Penn with 68 rushing yards on 19 carries against the Black Knights.
*Franchini completed 9-of-21 passes for 33 yards, while Jack Badner led the receiving corps with five catches for 23 yards.
*Paul Tjoumakaris turned in a standout defensive performance, recording 12 tackles and two sacks for 13 yards.
*Jack Kim also recorded 12 tackles, while Ryan Goodrich and Hugh Maley each added 11 tackles.
*Penn finished with 119 total yards against Army, including 86 rushing yards and 33 passing yards.
*The Quakers' defense kept Penn within one score at halftime, trailing just 7-0 before Army pulled away with 17 second-half points.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
*Molloy enters Friday's matchup at 0-3 overall and 0-1 in CSFL South play.
*The Lions opened the season with a 17-7 loss to Chestnut Hill before falling to Mansfield, 34-7. Molloy dropped a 27-24 decision to St. Thomas Aquinas last Friday.
*Despite the 0-3 start, Molloy has shown an ability to run the football. The Lions have rushed for 340 yards over their last two games, including 161 yards against St. Thomas Aquinas.
*Graduate student Peter von Schoenermarck has emerged as one of Molloy's primary offensive weapons. Against St. Thomas Aquinas, he rushed 33 times for 97 yards and a touchdown while also completing five passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
*Von Schoenermarck has also been a factor as a receiver, recording 163 receiving yards and three touchdowns through three games.
*Sophomore Vaughn Washington has provided a big-play presence in the passing game, including a 35-yard reception against Mansfield and a touchdown catch in that contest.*James Lipetri has also been involved in the Lions' offense, while Jalen Gordon has shown explosive ability on the ground, including a 42-yard run against Chestnut Hill.
*Defensively, junior JoJo Spano has been one of Molloy's top playmakers. He recorded eight tackles and an interception against Mansfield.
*Marquis Dixon also recorded eight tackles against Mansfield, while Kingston Loucks added a sack.
*Molloy's defense forced two turnovers in last week's loss to St. Thomas Aquinas, but the Lions allowed 251 total yards in the contest.
*The Lions' offense produced 251 total yards against St. Thomas Aquinas, including 161 rushing yards and 90 through the air.
*The matchup will feature two teams looking for their first CSFL South victory of the season, with both Penn and Molloy entering at 0-1 in division play.
