PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania wrestling team opened its New England road trip on Saturday afternoon, shutting down Brown 35-6 in the Pizzitola Sports Center.
 
Davis Motyka (125), Evan Mougalian (133), CJ Composto (141), Cross Wasilewski (149), Jude Swisher (157), Sean Seefeldt (165), Caden Bellis, and Liam Carlin (184) won their bouts against Brown to push #23 Penn to its first Ivy League win of the season.

*The win accounts for head coach Matt Valenti's first ivy League victory at the helm of the program.
 
*#29 Motyka, #20 Seefeldt, freshman Bellis, and freshman Carlin won the first Ivy League dual matchups of the careers.
 
*#14 Mougalian, #7 Composto, #8 Wasilewski, and #13 Swisher shifted to 2-0 in Ivy matches.
 
*Senior Composto (3-0) and sophomore Wasilewski (6-0) stayed undefeated in duals off their wins.
 
*Junior Mougalian and Wasilewski each claimed first-period pins in the conference clash.
