#23 Wrestling Travels to New England for Ivy Bouts at Brown (Sat), Harvard (Sun)

PHILADELPHIA – The #23 University of Pennsylvania wrestling team hits the road for New England this weekend, taking on Brown on Saturday, Jan. 31, at noon and Harvard on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m.

The Penn vs. Brown Series
*Penn holds a commanding six-meet win streak heading into Saturday's contest, topping the Bears 37-6 in University City last season.
 
*The last time the Quakers took Brown on in Providence, Penn left with an astounding 39-0 shutout, the largest margin of victory in series history.
 
*The Bears have not won a meet in the series since the 2017-18 season.
 
The Penn vs. Harvard Series
*The Red and Blue carry a 12-meet streak into Sunday's battle, shutting the Crimson out 43-0 in last year's matchup.
 
*Harvard has not claimed a victory in the series since the 2011-12 campaign.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Penn opened Ivy League duals this past weekend, falling 23-13 to Columbia.
 
*Evan Mougalian (133), CJ Composto (141), Cross Wasilewski (149), and Jude Swisher won their bouts against the Lions to account for the Red and Blue's 13 points in the contest.
 
*Lance Urbas (174), Liam Carlin (184), and John Vinciguerra (285) made their dual debuts in the conference battle. 
 
*Senior Composto and sophomore Wasilewski are undefeated in duals, with Composto sitting at 2-0 and Wasilewski at 5-0.
 
*Six Quakers sit in the Intermat and FloWrestling rankings, with senior Composto leading the charge at #7 in the 141 field. #8 Wasilewski (149), #14 Mougalian (133), #13 Swisher (157), #20 Sean Seefeldt (165), and #29 Davis Motyka (125) round out the Red and Blue in the individual rankings.
 
Scouting the Bears
*Brown on a four-meet skid, dropping contests at #22 Cornell (38-15) and Binghamton (21-20) last weekend.
 
*Max Norman (165), Andrew Reall (197) and Alex Semeneko (285) highlighted Brown's performance against Cornell with wins.
 
*Two Bears are ranked in the top 30 at their weights in the Intermat rankings, with Reall sitting at #22 at 197 and Semenko holding #28 at 285.
 
Scouting the Crimson
*Harvard split last weekend's action, falling 31-11 to #22 Cornell and topping Binghamton 30-13.
 
*Logan Brzozowski (125), Coleman Nogle (133), and Hudson Skove (197) won their bouts against the Big Red to account for the 11 points in the contest.
 
*Jimmy Harrington is the only Crimson ranked by Intermat sitting at #23 in the 157 field.
