Men's and Women's Squash to Compete in 2026 CSA Individual Championships This Weekend

NEW YORK CITY – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams will compete in the 2026 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships held in New York City beginning tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23 through Tuesday, Jan. 27.
 
Five members of the women's team will compete against national competition with a chance to hoist the Ramsay Cup.
 
Players from the undefeated women's team include Malak Khafagy (No. 2), Franka Vidovic (No. 8), Malak Taha (No. 17), Sohalia Ismail (No. 18) and Allie Stoddard (No. 33).
 
Taha will take on Charlotte Jones (No. 46) of Denison tomorrow at noon in the round of 64.
 
Vidovic has a bye in the first round and will play the winner of Ona Blasco (No. 26) and Riya Shankaran (No. 36) in the round of 32 at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
 
Ismail will play Dickinson's Anabel Romero Gemmell (No. 41) at 12:50 p.m. tomorrow.
 
Stoddard faces innercity rival Emma Bartley (No. 25) of Drexel at 1:40 p.m. tomorrow.
 
Khafagy also has a first round bye and will take on the winner of Aishwarya Khubchandani (No. 31) of Cornell and Madison Ho (No. 38) of Stanford in the round of 32 tomorrow at 6 p.m.
 
Five players from the men's team will also be competing in the tournament with an opportunity to win the Pool Trophy.
 
Players from the defending back-to-back national champion men's team include Omar Hafez (No. 2), Salman Khalil (No. 5), Marwan Abdesalam (No. 10), Alexander Dartnell (No. 25) and Rustin Wiser (No. 27).
 
Khalil has a first round bye and will take on the winner of teammate Alexander Dartnell and Dartmouth's Arihant Kalamangalan Sunil's (No. 40) match, at 7 p.m. tomorrow night.
 
Abdelsalam will face Tufts' Nachiket Desai (No. 49) in the round of 64 tomorrow at 3:20 p.m.
 
Wiser will take on Arhan Chandra (No. 32) of Columbia tomorrow at 4:10 p.m.
 
Second ranked Hafez has a first round bye and will take on the winner of Drexel's Nicolas Serna (No. 30) and Navy's Wenqing Tang (No. 37) in the round of tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
