GREELEY, Colo. – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania wrestling team closed out its road trip on Sunday night, taking down Northern Colorado 25-10 inside Bank of Colorado Arena.
 
#22 Penn never trailed in the meet, taking seven bouts to top Northern Colorado by 15 points to claim the first win over the Bears in program history.

*Brady Pruett (125), Nathan Taylor (141), #9 Cross Wasilewski (149), #13 Jude Swisher (157), #20 Sean Seefeldt (165), Martin Cosgrove (197), and John Pardo (285) won their matches to account for the Red and Blue's 25 points in the victory.
 
*Junior Cosgrove and senior Pruett won their first duals of the season.
 
*The all-time series between these two teams is now tied at a one a piece.
 
*The Quakers 4-0 start to dual action is the best start in more than a decade.
 
How It Happened
Senior Pruett started the match off with a 6-4 win over Bryson Valdez before #9 Dominick Serrano evened the score at three off a 13-12 contest with junior Mougalian. The Quakers came alive after the 133 bout, with Taylor (4-0), Wasilewski (4:13), Swisher (13-1), and Seefeldt (4-1) rallying to give Penn a 19-3 lead with four matches to go.
 
The Bears struck back at 174 and 184 off a major decision and a decision to slash the lead to 19-10. Luckily, junior Cosgrove answered with a 4-1 win over Tyler Perry to create a deficit that Northern Colorado could not overcome. Sophomore Pardo sweetened the deal with a 4-0 shutout over Enzo Cappabianca to push Penn to the 25-10 win.
