TULSA, OK. – Manfredi Graziani and
Aaron Sandler of the University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team claimed victory to the consolation bracket at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships, defeating Alexander Frusina and Khololwam Monsti of Texas A&M Saturday.
The victory represents a significant moment in the men's tennis program. This is the first time in program history the men's team has claimed victory in the consolation bracket at the ITA All-American Championships.
The road to victory was no small feat, either. Along the way, the duo of Graziani and Sandler defeated five Power 4 schools in their path. Of their five wins, four came against ranked opponents, including two top 10 doubles teams. This was a monumental event for Graziani and Sandler, as well as the Penn men's tennis program as a whole.
The year is off to as good a start as anyone could have hoped for, and the dynamic duo of Graziani and Sandler will look to use this as momentum moving forward.
