LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team kicked off their trip to the Liberty Duals Friday, squaring off in singles and doubles matches against VCU.
For many of the Quakers, this was their first action of the season. The Quakers delivered in a big way, winning six of eight singles matches and three of four doubles matches.
It was a great start for the Quakers' young talent, freshman
Nischal Spurling,
Vojtech Vales, and
Adam Bain all secured singles wins.
Sophomore
Justin Chung picked up where he left off at last year's Liberty Duals, claiming victory in both singles and doubles.
The Quakers will look towards tomorrow, as they face off against Old Dominion on Day 2 of the event.
