CARY, N.C. – The University of Pennsylvania's
Lara Stojanovski defeated Indiana's Nicole Teodescu on Sunday, Sept. 22 (6-3, 6-4).
The win came after Stojanovski fell to Clemson's Rinon Okuwaki on Saturday morning in singles, losing her pre-qualifying match.
She was one of two Quakers selected for the tournament, with
Esha Velaga beginning play in the main singles draw on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The sophomore will now return to Philadelphia as she and the team prepare to host the Cissie Leary Invitational next weekend at Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Centers.
