NEW HAVEN, CONN. – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team fell to #40 Yale in the season finale on Sunday in New Haven 4-2.
The Quakers secured the doubles point with wins by
Esha Velaga and
Lara Stojanovski at one, and
Joleen Saw and
Maya Urata at two.
Velaga added her final singles win of her fantastic junior season at the one spot, defeating Orly Ogilvy, 6-4, 6-4
However, Yale went on to win five of six singles matches as the Bulldogs clinched the Ivy League title.
The Quakers season has come to an end as the team finishes the year 11-12 overall, 2-5 in Ivy League play.
