Stojanovksi falls to Clemson’s Rinon Okuwaki in the Pre-Qualifying Round of the ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. – The University of Pennsylvania's Lara Stojanovski lost both sets in the pre-qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. on Saturday morning.

Stojanovski climbed back from being down 3-0 to making it a 4-3 match in the opening set before eventually losing 6-3.

Okuwaki dominated the second set, winning 6-1, as she advanced to the next round to face the winner of Allesandra Teodescu (Indiana) and Mariia Hlahola (Texas Tech) .

Stojanovski will play in a back-draw singles match tomorrow and Esha Velaga will compete in the main draw starting on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
