PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's John R. Rockwell Head Coach of Men's Basketball, Fran McCaffery, has announced his recruiting class for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Five young men—Ryan Altman, Jay Jones, Payton Kamin, William Kruse and Dalton Scantlebury—will join the Quakers' men's basketball roster this season as freshmen.
"We have five young men who I'm excited to coach and develop," said McCaffery, who was hired as Penn's head coach in April. "As I've gotten to know these guys, it's apparent to me that we have players in this group who will immediately bid for playing time and have an impact on our lineup as soon as they arrive on campus. In having several conversations with all of them since I was hired, I know they're going to be great representatives of our program and I can't wait for the Penn basketball community to get to know them."
Meet the Penn men's basketball Class of 2029…
