PHILADELPHIA – Named one of the top 1,000 draft-eligible players in college football for the 2025 season, the University of Pennsylvania's
Jared Richardson (WR) and
Netinho Olivieri (OL) were named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 watch list.
Every year, approximately 1,000 all-star game eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp. The aim is for this Shrine Bowl 1000 to serve as a look into the scouting process, as well as begin to preview college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2026 NFL Draft class.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on January 27, 2026. The players selected will be coached by NFL coaches in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level. Both Richardson and Olivieri have already been recognized plenty by several outlets as preseason All-America. Richardson was a third-team honoree by both FCS Football Central and Phil Steele, while Olivieri earned third-team honors from Stats Perform, FCS Football Central, and Phil Steele.
Richardson earned second-team All-Ivy honors in 2024 after leading the Quakers with 46 receptions for 684 yards and seven touchdowns, while starting all 10 games. His signature performance came at Cornell on Nov. 9, where he recorded nine grabs for 141 yards and three scores, becoming the first player in program history to have two career games of three TDs. This came after he broke through in 2023 as the starring receiver where he earned first-team All-Ivy laurels and etched his name onto national radars.
Richardson enters his final year at Penn with 113 catches for 1,472 yards and 15 touchdowns. He's just 528 yards from becoming just the sixth player in program history to reach the 2,000-yard mark. Richardson is also ranked sixth all-time in touchdown receptions.
Olivieri enjoyed a strong junior season in 2024, making a start in all 10 games at left tackle blocking the quarterback's blind side. Spearheaded by Olivieri's solid play, the offensive line allowed just 15 sacks all season, the ninth-fewest number in NCAA FCS football. For his outstanding contribution on the field, Olivieri earned first-team All-Ivy honors.
He has appeared in 22 career games in the Red and Blue, making 18 starts in the last two campaigns.
Now with a berth into the FCS playoffs for the first time on the line, the Quakers begin their 2025 season on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Stonehill.
