PHILADELPHIA – Honored for success in the classroom in addition to on the field, University of Pennsylvania men's lacrosse graduate
Emmet Carroll added one more honor to his lengthy list of awards, named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American for the second straight season earlier this week. In addition, Penn earned the USILA Team Academic Award for the 2025 season.
The USILA recognizes teams with GPAs of 3.0 or higher and individuals with cumulative GPAs higher than 3.0 as well.
A Management concentration in Wharton, Carroll received honorable mention All-Ivy recognition this season and was the 20th overall pick of the Maryland Whipsnakes in the PLL Draft just after the season concluded. In 2024, the goalkeeper was a consensus second-team All-America—from the USILA as well as Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine—a first-team All-Ivy selection, and All-ECAC. The USILA award makes it a trio of academic honors for Carroll this season, as he was the program's Academic All-Ivy recipient and voted Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area.
Carroll is one of 122 Division I men's lacrosse players named to the USILA Scholar All-America list.
