PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League has named its weekly award winners for men's lacrosse, and University of Pennsylvania sophomore goalie
Jack Pelot was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week.
Pelot earned the honor after he recorded 14 saves in Penn's 12-11 double-overtime win at Brown on Saturday, a victory that kept the Quakers' Ivy League Tournament hopes alive heading into the season's final weekend. Three of the sophomore's saves came in the extra sessions, allowing Penn to get the important road win in Providence.
Penn (6-6, 3-3 Ivy) has completed Ivy play for 2026 and will wait for results from Saturday's games which will determine the Quakers' fate for the ILT. On Friday, Penn will face UMass in a neutral-site game at Farmingdale (N.Y.) High School on Long Island to close out regular-season play. Faceoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
