Brendan Lavelle had considerable hype leading into the season and he met those expectations, earning first-team All-Ivy honors for the third straight season as well as consensus All-America recognition from the USILA, Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine. Constantly assigned to the opposing team's top offensive weapon, Lavelle tied for the team lead with 12 caused turnovers and finished second on the team with 36 ground balls (behind only regular face-off man
Stevie Davis who had 56). Lavelle had two CTs in Ivy League games against Brown, Yale and Harvard. He also had a combined 15 GBs in those three contests. The senior also had two points on the season, assisting a goal in Penn's win at Delaware and scoring a full-field goal on March 8 against Villanova that was the No. 1 play on SportsCenter's "Top 10 Plays" that night.
On May 6, Lavelle was the fifth overall pick in the PLL College Draft, going in the first round to the defending champion Utah Archers.
