Field Hockey Announces Class of 2029

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's head field hockey coach, Scott Tupper, has announced the program's Class of 2029 recruiting class, his first at University City. Seven women – Jazmin Borensztein, Lavina Cartellieri, Sarah Ding, Lucy Mangat, Samira Rafide, Monet Thurbide, and Sophie Watson – will join the program this fall as freshmen.

"We are thrilled to welcome these seven young women to the Penn field hockey program," said Tupper, who embarks on his first season with the Quakers in 2025. "I'm confident that Jazmin, Lavinia, Sarah, Lucy, Samira, Monet and Sophie will all have tremendous impacts on the field and our campus during their time at Penn. These high-achieving student-athletes hail from across the United States and the globe and will bring diverse talent and energy to Quaker field hockey. I look forward to welcoming them all to campus officially in August and supporting their development on and off the field for the next four years."
