PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania heavyweight men's crew team makes the short trip to Cherry Hill, N.J., this weekend for the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships. The three-day event, starting on Friday at the Cooper River, concludes the 2025 season for the Quakers.
Penn is sending three Eights and a Four across the Ben Franklin Bridge this weekend. The Eights are set to row in heats on Friday morning to land a spot in the semifinals on Saturday, where they will compete for a spot in the finals on Sunday. The Four will race in a time trial on Friday morning which will set seeds for semifinal heats that afternoon. The Fours finals will then be a part of Saturday morning's racing.
