The Penn vs. Northwestern Series
*Northwestern holds a dominant 17-4 lead in the all-time series, owning the four most recent wins.
*These two teams met in the 2024 NCAA quarterfinals, with Northwestern advancing to Memorial Day weekend off a 20-7 win, propelled by an eight-goal run that stretched through the second and third periods.

Erika Chung led the offense in last year's outing, tallying a team-high four points, including a hat trick.
*Penn's last win in the series came from the 2017 campaign when the Quakers left Evanston with a 10-7 victory.

*As for the All-Ivy honors, Brandt, Gorriaran, and Sedransk grabbed First Team All-Ivy,
Keeley Block nabbed Second Team All-Ivy, and senior Chung was named Academic All-Ivy.
*USA Lacrosse announced its NCAA Division I Women's All-Americans last week, with Brandt, Gorriaran, and Sedransk garnering nods. Midfielder Brandt earned First Team All-America, defender Gorriaran landed Third Team All-America, and goalkeeper Sedransk grabbed Honorable Mention All-America to represent Penn's USA Lacrosse All-Americans.
*The Quakers swept the Maryland regional in the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament last weekend, topping #21 Army (16-6) and #6 Maryland in double-overtime (11-10).
*The sophomore class shined in Friday's battle with the Black Knights as
Catherine Berkery and
Maggie Bankowski hit milestones. Attacker Berkery recorded a career-high eight points, headed by a career-high five goals to hit 100 points. Defender Bankowski won her 100th career draw control in the win.
*Goalkeeper Sedransk protected her cage against Army, tying her career-high 14 saves for the second time this season.
*In Sunday's double-overtime thriller against #6 Maryland, midfielder Brandt made history, becoming the first Quaker in program history to score 200 goals.
*Sophomore Berkery lifted the Red and Blue to the NCAA quarterfinals for the second-straight year, netting the game-winner over the Terps halfway through the second overtime period. The New York native ended the regional with 11 points, including eight goals between the two contests.
*Brandt is one goal shy of breaking the program's single-season goal record, currently tied with
Niki Miles for first with 63 goals.
Scouting the Wildcats
*Northwestern brings a nine-game winning streak into Thursday's game, most recently topping Michigan 15-7 on Sunday. Tewaaraton Award finalist Madison Taylor scored ten goals against the Wolverines to break the NCAA Tournament record.
*Five Wildcats were named USA Lacrosse All-Americans last week, as attacker Taylor and senior defender Sammy White were each named First Team All-Americans. Sixth-year defender Jane Hansen earned Second Team All-America, senior midfielder Sam Smith was a Third Team honoree, and graduate goalkeeper Delaney Sweitzer drew Honorable Mention honors.
*Junior Taylor leads NU's offense with a team-high 37 assists, 99 goals, and 136 points.
*The Quakers will likely face Sweitzer in goal on Thursday. The keeper has allowed 155 goals this season, acquiring an 8.56 GAA, a .492 save percentage, and 126 saves.
