PHILADELPHIA— Three members of the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team were named to the College Sports Communicators 2024-25 Academic All-District team, announced earlier this afternoon.
The Quakers are represented by seniors Eileen Wang and Gavriella Smith, with junior Maya Urata joining them on the All-District list.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Tennis teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 3, 2025.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale and compete in at least 70 percent of the institution's match days.
