NAPLES, Fla. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team remains in second place after two days at the Ivy League Championship. The three-day, 54-hole event is taking place on the par-72 course at Royal Palm Golf Club and will conclude with a final round tomorrow morning.

Penn shot 296 as a team in Saturday's second round which left the Quakers at 588 through two days. That has them behind only Princeton, which went under par as a team on Saturday and is at 574 through two rounds. The second through sixth-place teams are separated by just four strokes heading into Sunday—Columbia is one stroke behind Penn in third place; Dartmouth is a stroke behind the Lions in fourth; and Yale and Harvard are tied for fifth just two strokes behind the Big Green.
Individually, junior
Julie Shin made more history as she shot a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday. It is tied for the low round by a Penn player at the Ivy League Championship, matching the 70 that Amanda Chin shot in the second round in 2014. Shin is at 3-under-par 141 through two rounds and is tied for second in the field of 36 golfers with Columbia's Christine Chang. Shin now has three under-par Ivy Championship rounds on her career ledger, a first in program history. In the field, the junior is tied for first in par-5 scoring (4.50), tied for third in par-3 scoring (3.00), and tied for third with eight birdies.
Sophomore
Maggie Ni shot a 74 on Saturday and is tied for tenth in the field at 3-over-par 147, while
Madeleine Zang (75) and senior
Natalie Cao (77) were the Quakers' other scorers on Saturday. They are tied for 16th in the field overall.
Bridget O'Keefe carded a 78 on Saturday and
Claire Lu finished with a 79. Zang is tied for third overall in par-5 scoring through two rounds (4.63), while Ni is tied for third in par-3 scoring (3.00).
Harvard's Vanessa Zhang is well on her way to winning medalist honors; she carded a second-round 67 which has her at 9-under-par 135 through two. She is six strokes up on Shin and Chang.
