#16 WLAX Continues Homestand with Primetime Battle Against #5 Princeton on Wednesday

Game will be televised nationally on ESPNU

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team continues its homestand on Wednesday, hosting #5 Princeton for an 8 p.m. on ESPNU at Franklin Field.

The Penn vs. Princeton Series
*The all-time series between these two programs is pretty tight, with the Tigers holding a 24-30-3 advantage.
 
*These teams split last year's matchups, with Princeton taking the battle in the regular season 14-9 and the Quakers winning the Ivy League semifinals game 18-14.

*Catherine Berkery needs 20 points to hit the 100-point milestone to become the fastest sophomore since Zoe Belodeau hit the milestone during the 2019 season.
 
*Senior Block and Brandt lead the Red and Blue's offense with 38 points each, with Block holding 24 goals and 14 assists and Brandt posting 36 goals and two assists.
 
*Freshman Sedransk brings 91 saves, a 10.15 GAA, and a .457 save percentage into Wednesday's game.
 
Scouting the Tigers
*After dropping their first game of the season 13-11 to #8 Virginia, the Tigers carry an 11-game win streak to University City.
 
*Princeton topped Columbia 17-6 this past weekend to account for its latest win. The Tigers scored eight unanswered goals from the 6:03 mark of the second to the 6:59 point of the third to help secure the victory.
 
*McKenzie Blake leads Princeton's offense in goals (60) and points (65), trialed by Haven Dora with 62 carried by a team-high 43 assists.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Amelia Hughes in goal. The keeper has allowed 107 goals this season, acquiring a 10.36 GAA and a .509 save percentage.
