Throop Sets School Record at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track & field teams conclude day two of the of the Raleigh Relays on Friday, Mar. 28. 

Dylan Throop broke his own school record in men's 10,000m on Thursday night clocking in a time of 28:27.40. Throop finished 18th out of 123 athletes competing in the event.

Thursday – Raleigh Relays
Angeludi Asaah placed fifth in the women's shot put recording a personal-best mark of 15.16m (49' 9"). Asaah's mark ranks second on the Quakers all-time performance list. 
 
Kai Deines finished sixth putting 17.09m (56' 1") in the men's shot put. 
 
Luke Johnson recorded the second-fastest 5000m time in program history crossing the finish line at 13:48.03. 
 
Friday – Raleigh Relays
Benedikt Sachta won the men's pole vault invitational clearing an outdoor personal-best height of 5.25m (17' 2.75"), sixth on the all-time performance list. 

Asaah finished second in the women's discus throwing 52.37m (171' 10"). Deines placed 12th in the men's event throwing a personal-best distance of 50.34m (165' 2"). 
 
Zofia Lambert cleared a personal-best height of 1.70m (5' 7") in the women's high jump, finishing 10th. Conrad Moore placed 14th in the men's field at 2.00m (6' 6.75"). 
 
Anastasia Russell closed out day two of the Raleigh Relays recording a personal-best time of 35:39.06 in the women's 10,000m. 
 
Friday – Hurricane Collegiate Invitational 
In Miami, Paris Ivery won the women's long jump with a personal-best distance of 6.14m (20' 1.75"), second on the Quakers all-time performance list. 
 
Takunda Mhete placed fifth in the men's event jumping 7.15m (23' 5.50")
