PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team wrapped up the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Wrestling Championships on Saturday morning in the Wells Fargo Center, with one grappler earning a spot on the podium.
CJ Composto wrestled to a fourth-place finish and All-America status at 141 to end Penn's outing at the Wells Fargo Center.

*As a team, the Quakers finished 16th at the championships, the highest placement since 2006.
*#10 Composto earned the highest podium finish for the Red and Blue since the 2016 campaign.
* Composto completes his junior year campaign with a 28-5 overall record.
How It Happened
Composto was on a mission from the start of his consolation semifinals bout, getting a pair of takedowns in the second and third periods over #5 Cael Happel (UNI) to secure his spot in the third-place bout by decision, 7-2.
The third-place battle was a rematch between Composto and Penn State's #2 Beau Bartlett from the 141 quarterfinals during the second day of the championships. The New Jersey gave it his all in the third-place outing before ultimately falling by major decision to Bartlett, 11-2, to earn fourth place.
