PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team wrapped up the second day of the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Wrestling Championships on Friday night in the Wells Fargo Center, with one grappler earning a prestigious honor.
CJ Composto (141) earned the second All-America honors of his collegiate career to lead the charge for Penn on the second day of the tournament.

Maximus Hale closed out their collegiate careers in the Championships, with Incontrera ending the 2024-25 campaign with a 25-8 record, Hale an 18-10 record, and Miller a 23-8 record.
*Freshman Wasilewski ends his first year wearing the Red and Blue, going 25-5. Sophomores Gallagher and Swisher posted successful second-year campaigns, with Gallagher going 26-10 and Swisher landing a 26-9 record.
How It Happened
After dropping his quarterfinals bout to second-seed Beau Bartlett of Penn State, senior Composto had a point to prove in the blood round, getting a takedown early in the first period over Bucknell's #21 Dylan Chappell to secure a 4-0 win and the second All-America nod of his collegiate career. The senior stayed hot in the fifth round of the consolation bracket, downing Minnesota's #6 Vance VomBauer, 8-6, to earn a spot in the consolation semifinals at 141.
