PHILADELPHIA – With the 2024 season officially behind them, the University of Pennsylvania football team begins spring practice Sunday afternoon ahead of a highly-anticipated 2025 campaign.
Penn went 4-6 overall in 2024, going 2-5 in Ivy League play while tying for sixth place with Brown and Princeton. The Quakers earned wins over Colgate, Bucknell, Brown, and Cornell during the season.
The Quakers return six of their 10 All-Ivy selections from a season ago including first-team offensive lineman
Netinho Olivieri and second-teamers
William Bergin (OL),
Jared Richardson (WR),
Carter Janki (DL),
John Lista (LB), and
Julien Stokes (RS).
After the departure of running backs coach Jordan Johnson in the offseason, the George A. Munger Head Coach
Ray Priore made a few adjustments to his coaching staff with
David Josephson taking over as wide receivers coach after coaching the tight ends in 2024, while also taking on pass-game coordinator duties. Longtime wide receivers coach
Rick Ulrich will now coach the running backs.
Spring practice begins on Sunday at Franklin Field and will go each Sunday, Wednesday and Friday until the Penn Spring Game on April 18. The Quakers' annual awards banquet will take place on Saturday, April 19.
