Richardson, Olivieri Earn FCS All-America Recognition From Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA – The Associated Press (AP) has announced its All-America teams for the 2025 season, and University of Pennsylvania senior wide receiver Jared Richardson was honored with second-team honors while offensive lineman Netinho Olivieri received honorable mention recognition.

This is Richardson's second All-America honor in as many days, after he earned first-team honors from Sports Illustrated's FCS Football Central which made him the program's first first-team All-American since Justin Watson in 2017. In addition, Richardson already has been named a finalist for the Walter Payton Award—the winner will be announced on January 3—and was a unanimous selection for first-team All-Ivy honors. For Olivieri, this is his first All-America recognition after he was named first-team All-Ivy for the second time.

Richardson started all 10 games this season and produced one of the top receiving seasons in program history. He led the nation and the Ivy League with 8.0 catches per game and finished second nationally at 103.3 receiving yards per game. His 1,033 yards and 12 touchdowns both paced the Ancient Eight, with the TD total standing as the third-highest single-season mark in Penn history.

Richardson became just the sixth Quaker to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a season—and the first since 2017—while recording two three-touchdown outings (Columbia, Harvard) and two more two-score games (Lehigh, Marist). Richardson is the only player in school history with more than two career games of three receiving touchdowns.

He posted five 100-yard performances in 2025, including a career-best 190 yards on 15 receptions against Marist. Richardson finishes his career ranked third all-time at Penn in receiving yards (2,505), fourth in receptions (193), and tied for second in receiving touchdowns (27).

Olivieri started all 10 games at left tackle, protecting quarter Liam O'Brien's blind side throughout the season. He played a major role in Penn's top-three Ivy League passing offense and overall offensive production, blocking for an attack that featured one of the best quarterback-receiver tandems in program history. He also helped the Quakers surrender only 16 sacks on the season, ranking fourth in the Ivy League and inside the top 50 nationally.
