PHILADELPHIA— The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team fell to the University of Miami earlier this afternoon by a close, 4-3 score.
Penn fell behind in the match early, losing the doubles point with wins from Miami's Raquel Gonzalez/Xinyi Nong ans Maria Paula Vargas/Alexa Noel. Moving into singles, the Hurricanes built momentum, tacking on two more points with wins from Noel and Nong.
Maya Urata battled Vargas to earn a point for the Quakers, but a win from Miami's Jaquelyn Ogunwale on Court 2 secured the match for the Hurricanes. Finishing out,
Lara Stojanovski and
Gavriella Smith fought to earn the last two points for the Red and Blue.
