ITHACA, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team dropped its first Ivy League contest on Sunday afternoon in Ithaca, falling 26-10 to #9 Cornell.
Max Gallagher (125),
CJ Composto (141), and
Cross Wasilewski (149) won their matches against the Big Red to account for Penn's ten points in the Ivy battle.

*#10 Composto, #16 Wasilewski, and #23 Gallagher all moved to 4-0 in Ivy matches.
*Senior Composto and freshman Wasilewski's victories were both top-20 wins.
How It Happened
Sophomore Gallagher started the meet off strong for the Quakers, picking up a major decision win over Marcello Miliani (12-3) to give Penn a 4-0. Senior
Ryan Miller dropped a tight 2-1 decision to #29 Tyler Ferrara, which allowed Cornell to cut the lead to 4-3. Senior Composto completed a comeback over #20 Josh Saunders in his bout, tallying a late third-period takedown to win 6-4.
The Red and Blue's final win of the day came from first-year Wasilewski, who topped #20 Ethan Fernandez by decision, 6-4. Unfortunately for Penn, the Big Red captured the final six matches to claim the win and their fourth consecutive Ivy League title.
