VIERA, Fla. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team held its place on Sunday at the Columbia Classic, finishing fourth in a 12-team field. The two-day, 54-hole event concluded Sunday on the par-72 course at Duran Golf Club.

The Quakers shot 297 in Sunday's final round to finish the three-round event with a score of 894. That left them exactly where they started the day, in fourth place. Illinois State held on to the team trophy, shooting 286 on Sunday to finish at 868 which was four strokes ahead of second-place Princeton and 21 ahead of third-place Dartmouth. The other Ivy team in the field, the host Lions, scored 906 and finished eighth.
Maggie Ni was Penn's low scorer on the weekend; playing the event as an individual, she tied for the Quakers' low round on Sunday (1-over-par 73) and ended the weekend tied for 12th in a field of 71 golfers with a three-round 222 (+6). Classmate
Madeleine Zang was a shot behind, at 223, and was alone in 15th, while senior
Natalie Cao carded a final-round 73 and tied for 16th with a three-round score of 224.
Julie Shin shot a 2-over-par 74 on Sunday and tied for 20th at 225, while
Claire Lu and
Bridget O'Keefe both shot final-round 75s and ended the weekend tied for 24th and 38th, respectively.
Debby Chang was in the field as an individual and tied for 61st overall.
Princeton Catherine Rao was the individual medalist; she carded a 4-under-par 68 on Sunday to finish the weekend at 6-under-par 210. That left her three strokes ahead of Dartmouth's Olivia Cong and Illinois State's Jinyoung Yun.

Penn will not return to tournament action until March 24-25 when the Quakers are at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
