PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's fencing team wrapped up the 2025 Ivy League fencing championships on Sunday afternoon in The Palestra, with five student-athletes claiming All-Ivy nods.
Antonio Heathcock,
Simon Kushkov, and
Bryce Louie landed First Team All-Ivy, while
Nicholas Jin and
Joseph Wu landed Second Team All-Ivy to account for Penn's honorees. As a team, the Quakers claimed third place at the championships off a 2-2 record.
The Quakers swept the day, picking up wins over #5 Yale (17-10) and #3 Harvard (15-12) to finish the tournament.
Senior Louie and junior Kushkov led the charge for the Red and Blue, capturing second place in their weapons. Louie ended Ivies with a 9-3 record to claim second in the foil table, while Kushkov went 7-2 over the weekend to land silver among the sabers. Freshman Heathcock closely followed Kushkov in third place off a 9-3 record. Freshman Jin and sophomore Wu both claimed tied fifth place in epee off 7-5 records, while
Avery Townsend placed ninth (5-4) to even out Penn's presence in the top ten.
