The Series with Princeton
*Friday's meeting is the 251st all-time between the Quakers and the Tigers, with Penn holding the slimmest of leads in the series, 226-224.

*The Tigers swept last season's series, taking a 77-70 decision at Jadwin Gym and then shooting the lights out in the season finale here at The Palestra—in particular, going 17-of-27 on three-point shots—to win 105-83.

*Two years ago, of course, these teams met at Jadwin on the final day of the regular season with the Ivy League title on the line. Princeton came back from down by as many as 17 and defeated Penn in overtime, 77-69. One week later, the teams were back at Jadwin meeting in an Ivy League Tournament semifinal. The Tigers pulled out that win by an almost identical score (77-70), this time in regulation.

Penn MBB By The Numbers
1.50 - Penn's assist/turnover ratio so far in Ivy League play (93 assists/62 turnovers), tops among the Ancient Eight programs. Princeton is second in the category, with 85 assists and 57 turnovers for a 1.49 ratio.

5 - Following tonight's game, the Quakers will have seven Ivy League contests left. Five of them will be on the road, starting next weekend when they are at Yale (Friday) and Brown (Saturday). After coming back home to face Dartmouth and Harvard on February 21-22, the Red and Blue end the regular season with the Cornell/Columbia road trip and then the finale at Princeton.

6 - Blocked shots by sophomore Augustus Gerhart in Ivy League play, tied for fifth among conference players.

11.0 - Penn's 3FG per game in Ivy League play so far, good for second place among the Ivy teams behind tonight's opponent, Princeton (11.5)

12 - Penn players who have started at least one game this season; no one has started all 18 but senior Nick Spinoso, junior Ethan Roberts and sophomore Sam Brown lead the way with 17 each.

13 - Double-figure scoring streak currently held by Roberts; he has averaged 19.5 ppg during the run, which includes seven 20-point games and started with a collegiate-high 33-point outing against Navy on November 29.

18 - Points scored last Friday by senior George Smith against Brown; it was not just a season high but the most he had scored in a game since his freshman season when he dropped 23 on, you guessed it, the Bears in his very first Ivy League game wearing the Red and Blue.

20.3 - Points-per-game average for Roberts in Ivy play, which leads the league just ahead of Dartmouth's Ryan Cornish (19.7) and Princeton's Xaivian Lee (18.5). Brown is eighth, averaging 17.0 ppg.

21 - Three-point baskets made by Roberts in Ivy League play so far this season, tied for second with Princeton's Blake Peters. They are both one make behind Brown's Kino Lilly, Jr. who has 22.

44 - Points scored by freshman AJ Levine over the last seven games—he was in the starting lineup for all of them—after he scored just 21 coming off the bench in the first 12 contests; he also has 24 of his 39 rebounds and 22 of his 35 assists this season during this seven-game stretch.

53 - Three-point baskets made by Penn over the last four games, including a program-record 18 two weeks ago vs. Columbia and 14 last Friday against Brown; the Quakers have reached double digits in 3FG in the last four games and seven of their last nine after doing it just once in the first 10 contests.

53 - Points scored by sophomore Niklas Polonowski over the last nine games, after he scored just seven across the Quakers' first ten contests.

102 - Points scored by Brown in six Ivy League games so far this season (17.0 points per game); that nearly matches his point total (104) from the Quakers' 13 non-conference games (8.0 ppg).
