Men's Tennis Wraps Up Homestand This Weekend; Hosts Monmouth, Old Dominion, and Rider

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team will wrap up its homestand this weekend with a Friday match against Monmouth and a Sunday doubleheader versus Old Dominion and Rider.
 
Penn went 3-0 last weekend – including a 7-0 win over reigning Atlantic 10 champions VCU – to move to 11-3 for the first time since 2019.

Rise and Shine!
The Quakers jumped to No. 28 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Associations's (ITA) most recent Division I team rankings. It's Penn's second-highest ranking since 2000.
 
Florence's Finest
Manfredi Graziani picked up his 50th career singles win last Friday against VCU. He did it in under three full years at Penn, operating out of the No. 1 spot the last two seasons.
 
Previewing Monmouth
The Hawks are 5-0 in the spring season, most recently defeating Lehigh on the road, 6-1, last Thursday. Graduate student Adam Hillerby and freshman Jakob Bonnett were named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Doubles Team of the Week this week. The duo cruised to a 6-1 win over Lehigh at No. 2 to move to 4-1 on the year together.
 
Previewing Old Dominion
The Monarchs are 6-4 in the dual match season, riding a two-match winning streak. They took down Elon, 7-0, at home on Sunday.
 
Two doubles pairs and two singles players are represented in the ITA rankings. Adam Majchrzak and Cosme Rolland De Ravel are No. 79 and brothers Codie and Connor van Schalkwyk slot in at the end of the list at No. 89. In singles, Connor van Schalkwyk is No. 91 and Rolland De Ravel comes in at No. 122.
 
Previewing Rider
Rider is 1-4 on the dual match season with a 0-2 record in conference play. The Broncs dropped their first two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches, falling to Merrimack, 4-3, in North Andover, Mass. Dhruv Tangri is 3-3 at No. 1, winning his last two matches. In doubles, the Broncs have used 13 different combinations this season.
