How It Happened
The Red and Blue led the battle with the Crimson from start to finish, as #23 Gallagher kicked things off with a pin over Isaiah Adams in 4:13, while freshman Pardo ended things with a pin over Jeff Crooks in the first period. The Quakers picked up three tech fall victories from senior Miller (19-4), freshman Wasilewski (11-2), and senior Incontrera (21-4).
Penn continued its dominance against Brown, with sophomore Gallagher recording a tech fall over Jared Brunner (19-4), followed by a forfeit from the Bear at 133. Composto won his second match of the day off a decision over Joey Ianmunno, #16 Wasilewski pinned Austin McBurney right as time ended in the first period, and sophomore Swisher won by injury default to push the Quakers' lead to 26-0.
The Bears finally got on the board after the 165 bout to cut the deficit to 26-3 off a sudden victory win, but senior Incontrera recorded a tech fall over Drew Clearie, 20-4, to give a cushion to Penn's lead. Senior Hale won a nailbiter at 184 against Drew Reall, winning 4-3 in two extra periods to bump the hole to 34-3.
Brown won its final match of the dual at 197, winning by decision to trail by 28 points, but it was far too late for a comeback, as freshman Pardo took down Alex Semenko by decision, 5-2, to secure the 37-6 victory and Ivy League sweep.
