PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team fell in its dual closer on Wednesday night inside Jersey Mike's Arena, dropping a close battle to #11 Rutgers, 18-13.

Cross Wasilewski (149), and
Jude Swisher (157) took their bouts against the Scarlette Knights to account for Penn's 13 points in the dual.
Quakers Notemeal
*All four of the Quakers' wins were over ranked opponents, with #23 Gallagher leading the charge with a victory over #8 Dean Peterson.
*#19 Swisher grabbed the only major decision in the meet, as all the other battles were decided by decision.
*The Red and Blue ended the 2024-25 dual season with a 10-6 record.
How It Happened
Sophomore Gallagher opened the dual with a point to prove, coming back from trailing going in the third to taking the bout with #8 Peterson by decision, 5-4, to give Penn an early lead. Rutger retaliated at 133, tying the match, but the Quakers answered with three straight wins to lead 13-3 at the halftime break.
#11 Composto grabbed 141, taking down #15 Joseph Oliveri 4-1 in sudden victory, #16 Wasilewksi prevailed over #24 Andrew Clark, 4-2, and #19 Swisher dominated #26 Conner Harer by major decision, 9-1 to account for Penn's final wins against the Scarlette Knights.
